Jane SchofieldJane graduated from Exeter University with a degree in French and Italian in 1982. She then worked for an Italian bank before setting up her own translation business. Clients included the Daily Telegraph and Michelin Travel Guides. Her primary interest, however, lies in teaching Italian to adults, hoping to inspire them with a love for the language and the country.
Jane has also been a keen
seamstress since her teens and makes clothes, accessories and decorations with
a contemporary twist. Creating super-stylish designs for fabric and wool
that might be heading for the bin (now known as "upcycling") is her current passion.
She also enjoys tapestry and embroidery, is a member of the Embroiderers' Guild
and is pursuing further qualifications in textile art.
